A PROGRESSIVE CHURCH WITH HER VISION-Mt.16:8;Eph.2:20;1Pet.2:4-8

11. How is it that you fail to understand that I was not talking to you about bread?But beware of the leaven (ferment) of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
12.Then they discerned that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13.Now when Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi,He asked His disciples,Who do people say that the Son of Man is?


WHAT LIKELY CAN WE CALL A PROGRESSIVE CHURCH?OR HOW CAN WE DEFINE A PROGRESSIVE CHURCH?

1.A progressive church identifies with the MASTER.( Matthew16:13-16)
2.A progressive church has a largeness of heart .vv.1-3

3. A progressive church must be spiritual about things that matters to the Kingdom.
vv.5-12

4.A progressive church must not be carnal.v.17;John6:63

5.A progressive church does not separate herself from Christ.vv.18-19

6. A progressive church must carry a new testimony about His death and resurrection.(Eph.1:20-23)
-It is a turning point of immense significance.

*The former testimony was ended;the new testimony was not yet ready because the blood of the new covenant had not yet been shed-but our Lord began to speak of His death and resurrection (v.21)

7. A progressive church must be ready to deny self and be a true disciple of Christ.vv.24-28

VISION OF A PROGRESSIVE CHURCH (Acts26:19).

1.To preach the gospel to every creature-Mt.28:19-20;Mk.16:15;Eph.3:8.

2.To witness Christ everywhere and anytime-Acts1:8.

Prayers.
-Oh Lord,give me a turning point in my Christian journey.
-Oh Lord,give me Your Life,and destroy every carnality in me.

-Oh Lord,give me the passion for Your Passion.
-Oh Lord,make me to progress physically and spiritually.

-Rm.1:16 When you have a current in you,there is nothing that can't be possible!
-Great Commission Must be done with urgency!
Ps.74:2;Mt.28:18-20

-When you're born again,you're expected to preach the gospel.Mt.5:14.
