2.-Refusing To Be Part Of The Venture.
But Toyin's support for her husband's ministry had its limits. When he announced he had volunteerd to become a missionary in other West African countries,she adamantly refused to be part of the venture. There was a lack of wifely submission,with the mind of if you like,you can go ,I'm not in support of your ministry.

This would have been a joy to some women who would have thanked God for having a missionary-evangelist as husbands,better than a drunkard or ungodly person. She aspired to marry someone who is wealthy,who will be able to "carry her load".
TAMING THE UNRULY BEHAVIOUR OF THE WIFE
So far as a huge reservation,Sam ,after a very long period of time,beginning to cleave to the intermittent or better still the incessant unruly behaviour of hi wife. To some degree,both couple have matured considerably,a great deal over the years.
As the popular proverb says: " If life deals you lemons,make lemonade." To make the ugly and unattractive situation look very beautiful and appealing to the sense and mind,Sam ,many a time waves aside any attitude of such in order to let peace reign in the family. Albeit,his wife's attitude towards that is that he was not showing any concern whatsoever,and seeing him as a wicked husband who is not fit to marry.
"We expect a bright to-morrow;
All will be well;
Faith can sing through days of sorrow
All,all is well:"
These have been the song of Sam all along,but which is the contrary side of Toyin,who would sing some celestial songs,the likes of:
"This world is not my home
I'm just a-passing through
My treasures are laid up
Somewhere beyond the blue.
The angels beckon me
From heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home
In this world anymore."
These and lots of similar heavenly songs are her usual traditions whenever there is "dryness"in the family,thinking that at times like that,the best thing that should take place without any hesitation,is for her to be in heaven. But Sam would always have hope of a bright tomorrow,believing that Jesus will not just come to take His genuine child to heaven just because of no food and no money at home. This, Sam calls- "wilderness experience" which every genuine minister of God will have to pass through before a promotion,which is a process in life and ministry. Though an asset to the family,Toyin,many a time turned off immediately by the season of the moment dramatically.
Someday,a situation as terrible as this,which already has a time-bomb as David would say: "My times are in thy hand;..." will eventually become a testimony,after a divine turn around might have taken place,when the cadidate has successfully passed the divine examination and is being affirmed by the heavenly approval.
